Litter News

Due to The Economy's Impact on Pets, we will only have 1 litter this year.

Please know that there are also a number of simple changes you can make to ease your own financial crunch. You can buy pet food in bulk, or even search for discounts on food, especially if your pet eats a premium brand. There are often coupons available - which can quickly slash the cost. You can also slowly transition your pet to a less costly brand to avoid an upset tummy. If you cannot afford to buy supplies for your pet, look into a pet food pantry, which offers low-cost or free food to the needy.

To cut costs on medical services without sacrificing your pets care, search for clinics that offer low cost vaccinations and/or spaying and neutering. In general, spaying or neutering is the responsible thing to do, and it may prevent costly medical issues. Larger pet stores can offer low cost vaccinations. Know your pets vaccine history to avoid over vaccinating, and make sure the clinic is recommended by a friend, veterinarian or animal welfare professional to ensure quality care for your pet.

No matter what the reason is for economic hardship, the best thing you can do to help your pet is ask for help from friends, family and the community around you before simply giving your pet away.

We have no other breeding plans for this year.

A Puppy Application is required in order to reserve a puppy.

However, if you have any questions about our puppies or upcoming litters,

please feel free to contact us prior to completing a puppy application.

We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

We only have 3 litters a year, therefore our puppies are spoken for well before they are born, so we do recommend reserving a puppy early.

No home is complete, without the pitter-patter of puppy feet

Here at Golden Acres we believe that puppies should be whelped and raised in our home, and well socialized. They also have acres of running space for exploring and exercise. They are cuddled, loved, socialized and exercised daily.  All our Goldens are screened for health problems that are common to the breed prior to breeding as determined by the GRCA. We also follow their Code of Ethics and educate our puppy buyers of the responsibility of dog ownership.

All our companion pups are sold with AKC limited registration, and a non breeding and spay/neuter agreement. We also require a puppy application form be completed. We do have a reservation list, so we recommend that you reserve your puppy early, this way you are guaranteed to receive a puppy. Reservations on puppies are held only with a deposit. Since we plan our breeding on the basis of reservation fees received, this fee is Non-Refundable.

The order in which we receive your reservation fee, is the order in which we base your pick of a puppy. However, it is very important to us that you get the right puppy to fit your families lifestyle. I will evaluate the litter the last week they are with us. So I will make recommendations to you, but the final decision is up to you. Please complete a puppy application if you are interested in one of our puppies. This form is essential in determining which puppy will best fit your lifestyle/family.

Should the litter not produce the sex or color pup you want, it will then be necessary for you to wait for one of our pups from our next upcoming litters. However, we do try our best to provide you with a puppy of your choice. After our reservation list is complete, we will then start a waiting list. Please note: That being added to our waiting list does not guarantee you a puppy.

A contract will be issued and signed at the time you pick up your puppy. We also require a return agreement on all our puppies. For any reason the owner must relinquish ownership, the puppy must be returned to us. We do this because sometimes things do happen beyond your control and we want to be sure that our puppies are placed in a loving and safe home. It must be clearly understood that all our pups will be family companions first and foremost.

All our puppies will come with a puppy pack, which includes:

Copies of the parents pedigree & health clearance's

AKC limited registration application

A letter from your new puppy

Free sample of puppy food (Eagle Pack Holistic Select for puppies and adults-Chicken)

First toy with moms scent on it

Health record with 1st shots that were given and worming information

Health guarantee and contract of sale

Plus life time breeder support
